ABOUT

Hey, I’m Kerra!

I’m a mother, wife, and holistic health coach passionate about helping people feel their best. My passion for this work has been driven by own health journey.

I live in New York City with my Husband, two daughters and feisty little rescue terrier Lucy. Most of our free time is spent with family, enjoying central park, taking long walks around the city and exploring all that New York has to offer. We love introducing our children to many different foods and cultural experiences and can't wait to travel with them around the world.

I was born and raised in California and still feel very connected to my roots. The ocean is very healing for me in many ways.

MY HEALTH JOURNEY

Most of my twenties were filled with stressful jobs, late nights and skipping meals. I suffered from anxiety, depression, disordered eating and a variety of different health problems. While trying to eat healthfully it didn't occur to me that many of the other things I was doing were ruining my health.

At a certain point feeling exhausted and unhealthy was not how I wanted to live my life and healing became my top priority. My big turning point was in 2016, that was the year I was diagnosed with PCOS polycystic ovary syndrome.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that affects a woman’s hormone levels. Women with PCOS produce higher-than-normal amounts of male hormones. This hormone imbalance causes their body to skip menstrual periods and makes it harder for them to get pregnant. PCOS also causes hair growth on the face and body, and baldness. And it can contribute to long-term health problems like diabetes and heart disease.

An overabundance of testosterone and cysts on my ovaries, explained the missed periods, the inability to lose weight and so many of the other health problems. That was when my real health journey began. Through my own research and dedication I was able to fix my hormones, lose weight and then was blessed to become pregnant with my first daughter. The birth of my daughter reignited my passion for health and clean living. It was important to ensure I was doing everything possible to provide my daughter with the safest, healthiest and most non toxic living environment possible. My second daughter was born in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. I took that time to educate myself on how to holistically support my family's health through nutrition, healing modalities and lifestyle changes. During this time my love and passion for learning about health inspired me to enroll in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I graduated in 2022 earning my Holistic Health coaching certification. My areas of focus are repairing hormones, pre- and post-natal, gut health, brain health, and natural remedies for healing. I learned so much at IIN and love sharing this knowledge with my clients.

The transformation I’ve experienced in my own life from learning and applying holistic practices and habits is something I want for everyone.
